Skips emptied ready for hireAt Allen Waste, we understand that you want a hassle-free skip hire service, you don't want to be hanging around, wondering whether the skip you have hired will turn up.

We will provide delivery times for your skip and can tell you exactly how far from site it is.

Our fleet of lorries are centrally controlled with the latest satellite tracking technology.

Allen Waste have a full range of skips available, from the traditional 6 cubic yard 'builders' skip, to 12 cubic yard skips.

We also know how important it is that the full skip is collected on time and taken out of the way when you have finished with it.

We provide professional and efficient skip hire services to our commercial customers, arranging licences as required and helping to make operations run smoothly.

We operate a 2 hour skip delivery service in London and the Greater London area, as well as a 'wait and load service' for those situations where waste needs to be removed as quickly as possible.

Allen Waste is licensed by the Environment Agency and is committed to recycling at least 70% of the waste collected (often achieving recycling of over 90% on materials sorted for recycling such as cardboard, wood, metals, plastics etc).

Domestic Skip Hire

Allen Waste operate in the City of London and the Greater London area, offering a 2 hour skip delivery service to satisfy the demand to get waste removed as quickly as possible.

If you decide to take the day off work to have a complete clearout, you need to be sure you can shift your unwanted clutter or bulky waste quickly. In this case, you may want to take advantage of our 'wait and load service'. This skip hire option is also very useful for home owners that are in residential areas where siting a skip for a lengthy period is not practical.

We also offer a one hour turnaround on exchanged skips, a useful skip hire service for house clearances.

If you want to hire a skip which needs to placed on a road that is a public highway, you may need a skip permit from your local council. Allen Waste try to make your skip hire as problem free as possible and will arrange licenses or skip permits for you.

Please read our guide on 'How to use your skip' and look at our Skip Hire Sizes. It is important you don't overload the skip or fill it with items that will not be accepted. The guide includes information on recycling.

See FAQs about Waste Management and Collection for answers to queries such as 'What can be disposed of in a Skip or Waste Container?'.

Skip Hire Permits

Allen Waste will not be able to provide skip hire services where a license or permit is required and this has not been arranged in advance through the local council.

We advise you to check your local councils' skip hire permit guidelines to find out more about this process. To apply for a skip permit you first need to identify the appropriate local authority. You can use the 'Find your Local Authority' tool on Direct.gov.uk to do this.

Some councils in London require you to apply directly to them for a permit, however most will require the application to come from the skip hire company. It is worth noting that there may be a different application for long-term skip hire as apposed to short-term skip hire, as different councils have different expiry dates. Contact us if you are in any doubt about what is required and in most cases we can make the arrangements for you.

Skip Hire Pricing

Allen Waste have a competitive pricing structure and we will do our best to be flexible, should arrangements need changing, for example you find you need to hire for a longer period or you need to hire a bigger skip that you first thought.

Send the Request a Service form or call us on 020 8692 0011 for a skip hire price.

Allen Waste Skip Hire Prices are worked out based on the following criteria:

  1. Responsible disposal of waste, waste management and recycling
Allen Waste disposes of waste in a responsible and professional manner and in compliance with environmental and government guidelines. We are licensed by the Envionment Agency. (Licences are issued to ensure that waste management facilities do not pollute the environment, cause harm to human health or serious detriment to local amenities. The legislative basis is provided in Part II of the Environmental Protection Act 1990, the waste management licensing regulations 1994, and a number of associated regulations.) We follow procedures to ensure that a high proportion of the waste collected by us is recycled.

  2. The area where the skip will be sited
There may be problems and difficulties associated with the location, such as the need for parking permits, this must be considered when providing the skip delivery and collection service.

  3. Number of skips, size of skips and length of time required on site
You will be charged for the number of skips you want to hire, the size of the skip (as this affects the amount of waste that needs to be recycled/managed) and the period of time the skip must be on site before it can be collected.

  4. Type of waste
Some types of waste require specialised (and more expensive) handling, management and disposal facilities.

  5. Skip Hire Permits
Any skip placed on the highway requires a permit. It is usually the skip company (owner of the skip) who must obtain the permit. Permits are issued by the local council. As prices of permits varies, Allen Waste will charge a £5 administration fee on top of whatever the council charges for the permit.

  6. VAT is charged at 17.5%
