Recycling and waste

"Taking action on waste is essential, since we are consuming natural resources at an unsustainable rate and contributing unnecessarily to climate change.

Each year we generate about 100 million tonnes of waste from households, commerce and industry combined. Most of this currently ends up in landfill, where biodegradable waste generates methane, a powerful greenhouse gas. And much valuable energy is used up in making new products which are later disposed of, so also contributing to climate change."

Packaging & Packaging Waste

"The EC Directive on Packaging and Packaging Waste 94/62/EC seeks to reduce the impact of packaging and packaging waste on the environment by introducing recovery and recycling targets for packaging waste, and by encouraging minimisation and reuse of packaging"

Recycling Services

Allen Waste have a competitive pricing structure and we are willing to discuss your recycling requirements to enable us to provide a service that suits you.

If you regularly produce waste that is all of one type, call us to discuss the best way to manage it for recycling. You may find you would benefit financially by having a portable or static compactor on your site. Compaction of waste by equipment on site reduces the number of times vehicles need to call for waste collection with the obvious benefits to the environment.

Send the Request a Service form or call us to make arrangements for any of our collection services.
